The wooden club has a round cross-section that tapers towards the handle. Its striking head is rounded. The handle is slightly flared. Two-thirds of the surface of the blade is covered with geometric ornamentation carved in flat carving, with remnants of white moulding. A leather strap is attached above the handle to secure the grip. A deep dry crack runs along the entire length of the object. Provenance: Solomon Islands, Malenesia. The object belongs to the estate of the senior general practitioner Georg Wilke (*1859 Dresden +1938 Rochlitz), which initially went to the teaching collection of the Rochlitz secondary school after his death and was transferred to the collection of Rochlitz Castle in the 1960s.
