This example of the cone oboe is made of wood, has seven frontal tone holes and a thumb hole between the first and second tone hole. Two decorative brass rings are attached to the upper end of the funnel and the lower edge. The very old instrument has a metal insert at the top of the body to hold the reed holder. The lip disc and pipe support are missing.
