This woodwind instrument with double reed is a variant of the Cura Zūrnā. The body with seven frontal tone holes is made of dark brown coloured wood and has several glued cracks and other traces of repair. Unlike all other zūrnas, this instrument has a red funnel and a bone lip disc. The old instrument comes from a village in the province of Hatay in the south of eastern Anatolia on the border with Syria.
