A collapsible wooden Koran stand, the construction of which consists of two parts joined together by an integrated hinge, each consisting of a support surface with adjoining feet. When unfolded, the almost square support surfaces, which are at an obtuse angle to each other, are divided into geometric figures consisting of a rectangle and a cross on the opposite surface by means of circular dot ornamentation. One foot is broken off. Provenance: North Africa. The object belongs to the estate of the senior general practitioner Georg Wilke (*1859 Dresden +1938 Rochlitz), which initially went to the teaching collection of the Rochlitz secondary school after his death and was transferred to the collection of Rochlitz Castle in the 1960s.
