Three string cords which are turned round in the spout of a skin loop which acts as a lower tailpiece and extends from the neck to the top. The folded membrane is nailed under a circumferential skin strap. A crescent-shaped, carved extension at the free end of the neck. Cowrie shell overlays there and on the top of the body. The entire instrument is dark coloured. Several skin strap windings to seal the entry point of the neck into the resonator.
