Index card (music eth.): Aerophone Description: Three sections of tube, bound together like rafts, are inserted into an axially pierced fruit bowl (calabash?). The centre tube has five finger-holes, a lateral tube has two lateral finger-holes, the lower of which is sealed with black mass. The other lateral tube is closed at the upper end by a growth knot. The tubes protrude about 2cm into the fruit shell. The connection is sealed with a black mass. Ornaments on the fruit shell, in which coloured glass beads are embedded, and a cementing between the tubes are also made of the same material. The function of the instrument is unclear. It is probably not a double clarinet. The 3rd reed is a dummy! Length: 22.5 cm
