Skin strap tension of the membrane against a large piece of skin resting on the outside of the bowl. Long arms diverging towards the crossbar. Only one of the original five strings completely preserved. Ball rings that bound the strings together with thick, twisted fabric cords. The lower end of the string extension is attached to a handle-like shell projection. Attached to the long arms is an elongated skin plectrum and a holding cord wound from strips of cloth. The bridge is missing. The folded edges of the membrane are not depilated. Nine perforations drilled into the membrane, arranged in triangles. "The bridge is made of a triangular piece of wood." from Ulrich Wegner: Afrikanische Saiteninstrumente, Staatliche Museen Berlin - SPK, 1984 (Appendix object catalogue)
