Eleven strips of string detached from the epidermis between the two pierced bamboo nodes. Under each string two bars of partly different heights (pieces of bark from a palm leaf stalk). One of the twenty-two bars is missing. Where the strings have grown together with the epidermis, the tube is wrapped several times with a string of plant material. In one transnodium [there is] a round, burnt-in perforation. "Hova in Majunga.
