Bronze plaque: man with a ball in his hands, pearls

The rectangular plates with high reliefs are from the royal palace. Here is depicted a high-ranking man, with beaded chest sash, the royal ruff, beaded hood and braids, arm and leg cuffs. The red coral beads represent spiritual power and were very valuable. In his hand he holds a ball. The wraparound skirt is as richly decorated as the background of the plate.
