The labelling of the Galvanos reads: LU TÜ. Von Luschan made the cylinder recordings with his own phonograph. The successful collaboration with Abraham and Hornbostel was the beginning of the close connection between the Museum für Völkerkunde and the Phonogramm-Archiv. Cf. Abraham & Hornbostel 1904b and Luschan 1904 as well as the discussion following the lectures (ZfE 36, 1904: 233). The original documentation shows that there is a double numbering for reels 1 - 21: that of the reels and that of the recordings. All texts with German translations and transcriptions of songs I - XX are available (texts in Luschan 1904, transcriptions in Abraham & Hornbostel 1904b).
