Spear with a curved wooden shaft. The end of the shaft is wrapped with an iron spiral. The point is attached to the shaft with a socket that is open on one side. The rhomboid blade of the point has a ridge and a small point or hook at each of the three corners.
The country of origin could not be clearly determined. However, the shape and material of the spear suggest an African origin.
The museum received the spear from Margarete Mader; the exact provenance is not known.
