Large, decorated grating table. The stone tool consists of a curved, rectangular worktop and three trapezoidal legs with a small base. Two cuboid decorations, which may have served as handles, are attached to the narrow side of the object with one leg. There are two small round handles on their undersides. The upper and side sections of the rimless worktop are decorated with engraved geometric motifs. The three legs of the object also feature vertical, oval perforations. The two opposing legs differ from the single support, which is more solid, longer and more inclined. While the insides of the rear legs were left undecorated, the single support element was engraved on three sides. The work surface of the rubbing table shows clear signs of use. Abrasions appear on its corners and edges. One side surface has a deep, vertical crack. The engraved decoration is heavily eroded. The plate decorations have been partially levelled. There are yellowish earth residues in the pores of the stone. (Künne 2005) Further information on the social, symbolic and cultural significance, as well as the find context and periodisation, could not be integrated into the long description due to technical problems at Museum Plus.
