Alternative spelling of the name: Carl Hoepfner. Höpfner did not stay exclusively in Angra Pequena on his first journey in 1882/83. He spent the first eight months in Mossamedes (Moçâmedes) on the Atlantic coast of Angola, near the present-day border between Angola and Namibia.
