Very large, fragmented rubbing table with three high, conical legs. The stone object has a curved, rectangular base with no raised edge. Its working surface is decorated with an engraved ornamental band that runs along the preserved narrow side. It shows two intertwined bands (guilloche motif), which form a frieze around the edge on the underside of the base stone. The engravings appear to allude to textile or wickerwork. The sloping legs of the object have a small, round base. Their recessed sections show an all-round geometric motif made up of concentric elements. The heavily damaged worktop of the rubbing table shows clear signs of use. There is a large defect on the narrow side of the base stone with one leg. The single leg forms a loose component of the object. The engravings on the stonework are slightly eroded. (Künne 2005) Further information on the social, symbolic and cultural significance, as well as on the find context and periodisation could not be integrated into the long description due to technical problems at Museum Plus.
