Deep, three-legged bowl. The object has a slightly protruding wall and a curved base. The conical legs have two narrow openings and rattle balls. The vessel has been smoothed, sanded and primed on both sides. Its exterior is painted and polished. The primer and paint are partially eroded. The restored object has fractures and flaws. The ceramic has a white-yellowish base colour, which is painted black-brown and red-orange on the outside of the vessel. The rounded lip is decorated with short, black-brown strokes. Below the rim is a circumferential red-orange band bordered by two black-brown lines. Three trapezoidal pictorial fields appear on the wall, decorating the object between the ornamentation below the rim and the leg attachments. The trapezoidal sectors are divided into two halves by a horizontal, red-orange band. They show a curvilinear element associated with a semicircle. The three conical legs probably symbolise bird beaks. They are decorated by a black-brown horizontal frieze, which shows strongly reduced stepped elements. On the inside of the object there is a decoration below the rim that repeats the ribbon-shaped decoration on the outside. Symbolic meaning: Stevenson-Day (1988) understands the curvilinear pictorial elements of the wall-standing pictorial fields as stylised cat motifs. Cultural significance: the group's inventory of forms mainly comprises plates and three-legged bowls. They may have a white-yellowish or salmon-coloured ground. The objects were decorated with highly stylised motifs and are mainly known from burials. (Künne 2004)
