The man appears to be sitting on the woman's right knee and has his left hand on the woman's left shoulder. The right hand grasps the woman's neck. Sunken cheeks, narrow lips and a toothless "smile" in the depiction of the man's face indicate an old man. Clothing: She: headband. Waist scarf/skirt. He: Wrapped headdress with pointed ends. Waist belt. Jewellery: She: ear studs. Pearl bracelet, four rows. He: Earrings(?). Necklace/hoop with two round beads. Remarks: Headband and headdress are appliqués and slightly damaged.
