The vessel consists of a calabash with a round body and a very narrow neck. An opening is cut into the upper end of the long neck. The body is encased in a piece of fur-trimmed leather in the shoulder area, which is stretched downwards at five corners with leather straps. The straps cross at the underside and are interwoven there. A handle made of leather straps is attached to the upper edge of the piece of fur. The fur is brown, partly light grey. The shell of the calabash consists of a yellowish top layer and a reddish-brown core layer.
