The labelling of the rollers is not uniform, they read: Hamb. Suedsee, Hb SS, Hamb. Buka. W. 1 - 16 were made by Müller-Wismar in Melanesia, W. 17 - 67 by Sarfert in Micronesia, W. 68 - 95 by Hambruch. The expedition was led by Augustin Krämer, who compiled his own collection (cf. Krämer expedition). According to correspondence, the collections were sent to Berlin for galvanisation in 1911 (FE 13). Comments and texts on the photographs are partially available.
