The collection consisted of 51 cylinder recordings, of which 50 are extant; the original labelling of the cylinders is Thorbecke Kamerun II. Comments on individual recordings are available, but there are no text transcriptions; the recordings were transcribed and edited by Wilhelm Heinitz (see also correspondence). Transcriptions and analyses by W. Heinitz in Thorbecke (1919).
