The eyebrows, bulging eyes and throat area are traced with thick yellow strokes. There is a hint of bared teeth. The mane attached to the upper edge of the mask is made of twisted, light-coloured cotton threads. It is modelled on the Pukchǒng mask (북청 탈) of the Hamkyǒng province (함경도).
