Originally, the instrument was similar to the zurna and had a fork insert and lip disc. The beautifully shaped conical body of this töröksip is made of reddish-brown lacquered wood. It has seven uneven finger holes of different sizes, the lowest of which is offset to the side. This oboe also has a raised thumb hole and a resonance hole in the upper part of the funnel.
