Coconut shell divided in the middle. The shell is rough, almost solid brown with black spots. Dotted with tiny holes. A wide grain runs lengthwise across the center of the shell. At the center there is a bulge on the outside through which a hole has been drilled and a rope twisted from many threads, knotted at the end. A crack runs from the edge of the bowl to the center point.
