fumi-e
So-called "treading image" (jap. fumi-e). The bronze-cast image shows Mary in relief as the Madonna of the Rosary (here, however, without the usual rosary surrounding her) with the infant Jesus on her knees, surrounded by St Dominic, St Catherine of Siena St Catherine of Siena and members of religious orders.
