model boat

Model of an ocean-going sailing boat with outrigger from the island of Luf, consisting of float, outrigger frame and platform, next to which a box is built above the float. The sides and the box are painted with white and red ornaments. The two sterns are attached as extra parts, which consist of the same carvings fore and aft. The ship has one mast with a mat sail. The ship is made of wood, with all connections made of twine and plant fibres. In some places, the paintwork is no longer clearly recognisable and one of the sterns was broken off.
