Body cord
Worn around the hips, belts of this kind were used to hold a loincloth in place to cover the male genitals. The loincloth woven from strips of cotton was pulled up in between the legs and held in place by the belt. The hip belt is a cotton tube made using a stitch lifting technique and subsequently stuffed with cotton.
