Weaving frame with unfinished beaded aprons for little girls
To make beaded aprons, the women of Wapishana used bow looms made of bent switches. Cotton thread and glass beads were tied together to form trapezoid-shaped loincloths. Upon completion, the bundles wrapped around the crossbar were knotted and hung down as fringes.
