There is a fuller on both sides of the blade, which runs along the back of the blade, and Chinese characters. The round, flat blade is made of metal and has a metal hook or hanger on one side. The wooden handle ends in a metal pommel and is braided with a yellow textile cord. The scabbard is made of balsa wood, covered with black-painted chequering (?) and fitted with metal fittings. Else Lang-Höhne donated the sword to the Museum of the City of Ulm in 1934.
