Like no. 187 [III E 2308] The folded waran skin edge is, however, reinforced by a thin strip of skin where the tensioning cord runs through it. Eight nylon and woollen cord strings. The lower ends of the strings are knotted to skin cords just before they pass through the membrane, which extend the tension towards the crosspiece. The connection of the strings to the crossbar is not centred, but aligned towards a longitudinal arm. Strips of skin tied around the crossbar near the yoke angles with long hanging light and dark fur. "Made by specialists. This was made by a man from near Buyikwe/Kyaggwe in Buganda, but has been played for many years. It is only played by 1 musician in Buvuma, who is also not local, but comes from the Ssese Islands. Otherwise this instrument is widespread in Buganda and Busoga." from Ulrich Wegner: Afrikanische Saiteninstrumente, Staatliche Museen Berlin - SPK, 1984 (Appendix Object Catalogue)
