The non-Indian, "white" person is possibly the director of the Aldeamento of Mutum, the North American Aug. 'Coco' Aduet [Adnet? - Different spelling in Ehrenreich 1885 and Ehrenreich 1887 (see below)], who accompanied Ehrenreich with his people for part of his journey into the interior.
