Ana Mey
This Ana Mey is a woodwind instrument with a slender cylindrical shape and a large double reed. The body is turned from apricot wood, as is typical for the Turkish mey. The instrument has seven relatively small frontal tone holes and a thumb hole between the first and second tone hole. This example was acquired by a private collector in Istanbul in 2003.
