Then the highest of the gods, Phra Isuan , commanded the god Phra Narai to seek rebirth in the human world. And so it happened that in Ayuthaya, at the centre of the world, the aged king Thotsarot gave birth to a lovely baby boy, Phra Ram, by his wife Kaosuriya. He was destined to one day become the most powerful king in the whole world.
