The inscription on the rollers reads: Helfritz Araber (Transjordan) The copies of the collection were not removed from storage during the war, but were in the possession of M. Schneider. On Helfritz and his journeys to Yemen, see also Helfritz xxxx. According to the documentation, the collection consists of two parts: 1. Palestine, 2. Arabia. Helfritz himself was unable to provide any further information on the contents of the rolls (Helfritz visited the PHA in December 1994). Extensive correspondence is available. A musical example in Schneider 1938b. Further original documents are scattered in various German archives, photos are in the RJMuseum Cologne, old DEFA films in the Federal Film Archive.
